Tinsley rolled over today!

Yup, early today I put Tinsley on the floor for some tummy time. She started moving around as if she were trying to roll over. I didn't think anything of it because she does this all the time and never gets over. But today she did! After she rolled over her eyes were opened really big... it was like she was saying "Whoa, what just happened?" Too funny. I love this girl.

Also, my brother came home from his 2 year mission in El Salvador last Wednesday. I am so happy he is home! He is one of my best friends. It's been a lot of fun having him around.

Pictures to come soon.

Happy Holidays!!!!

You're never fully dressed... without a smile!

I swear Tinsley has been smiling since birth... Okay, so maybe it was gas :)
But now she is smiling on purpose and I love it!! David and I can't get enough of it! Here are some pictures of our little love bug flashin' the camera some smiles after church...

New Hair

I decided I wanted to be a brunette like the rest of my little family... so here is my new look...

Pumpkin Patch

We all decided to go to the pumpkin patch so we took the ferry across the river to go get some pumpkins. Big Ben thought it would be fun for Little Ben to feed the birds but it was Big Ben, Spencer, David and cousin Brandon who were having all the fun.
They were holding bread and having the birds come get it out of their hands... except for Spencer (he was a little afraid haha) But they finally convinced him to try...

He was standing there for awhile and the birds weren't coming. Then all of a sudden they came rushing to him. Here he is falling back- scared to death! It was hilarious! We all were laughing so hard!

We had so much fun at the pumpkin patch... here is David trying to find the perfect pumpkin. He was taking it very seriously... :)

Little Ben had more fun taking Tinsley off-roading than finding a pumkin...

Tinsley's aunt Becky sent her this outfit... she wore it to the pumpkin patch. She's so cute... I love my little pumpkin :)

A little story

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Tinsley. She was taking a nap when all of a sudden someone woke her up.... "Who just woke me up?" Tinsley asked.

There was a handsome man standing next to her. Tinsley asked, "Did you wake me up? Who are you?"

Tinsley quickly recognized the handsome man. "Oh, it's you dad! :) What's up? Oh, you want me to watch some football with you? Sure, I'd love to!"

So Tinsley and her dad sat and snuggled on the couch and watched the football game. "Wow, this is a great game!" Tinsley said. "I love you dad!"
The End.

Ah... nice and warm..

Freezing!!!! Stop taking pictures- hurry up and get me dressed mom!!

Cousins

David doesn't have many cousins. When I asked him how many he had he said, "2? No wait, maybe 4? Oh I don't know... not many. I didn't really ever see them." I thought that was so sad. I would hate not having a lot of cousins! I am close with a lot of mine. Some of my most favorite memories were with them.
Ben is Tinsley's only cousin on my side of the family- another to come Oct. 24th! But on David's side she has 9! She has a couple of girl cousins that are pretty close to her age which will be a lot of fun for her when she gets a little older and can play with them. It makes me happy that she already has so many- I love cousins!!! :)

Today I turned on Oprah and after the first 2 minutes I had to turn it off. It was a show about child predators. I couldn't watch it. It made me feel sad, angry, scared and sick. I wished there was something I could do to help stop this problem. Tonight I recieved an e-mail from one of the women in my ward. Here is what it said...

Today I saw one of the worst things I have ever seen in my life. It was a show about child predators on Oprah. I am sick to my stomach as I write this and want to encourage you to help pass a new law to protect our children. The following link will take you to the Oprah site where you can search for your state's senators and send them an email, snail mail, phone call, whatever to tell them how important it is to pass this bill. I sent two emails to my senators in Virginia in under ten minutes including additions I made to the letter. I plan to send a hard-copy letter as well which will not take much time either.

We only have a few days. The bill goes up for vote on September 26th. Please use the Oprah link below which has another link to contact your senators. There is already a letter drafted for your use on the site. You can add to or change the letter as you see fit.

http://www.oprah.com/article/oprahshow/20080911_tows_predators

Please act now to help this very important bill get passed.

Sincerely,
Denise

I was so glad to get this email. I have already sent two emails to the senators. It only took a minute. Please go to the link in the e-mail and do the same!

Quick update

I had a doctor's appointment today... Everything is going great. I'll be 37 weeks on Thursday! I can't believe it! We are getting so close and so excited! They say you gain about a pound a week in your last month but today when I went to my appointment they told me I had gained 5 pounds just in this past week.... Whoops! :) After my appointment we toured the hospital. The people there were super friendly and the rooms are so big and so nice! David and I are getting more and more excited everyday. I am so lucky to have him. We make a great team :) He is going be an awesome dad! Just a few more weeks....

Memories

Here is a fun tag. Here are the rules:1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. I can't wait to see what people remember. :)

Pregnancy Pictures

My good friend Brynne took these pictures for me the other day. When we took these I had no idea they were going to turn out like this! She is truly an amazing photographer! She captured exactly what I wanted. I wanted these pictures to show the blessing of carrying a sweet child. Even though I have trouble putting my shoes on, fitting in my clothes, and shaving my legs I love my belly. I feel so blessed to have a baby and can't wait until she gets here. Thank you so much Brynne- you are so talented!

Oh the joys of being pregnant!

With a belly as big as mine it sure is hard to put on and tie your own shoes...

Thank goodness for my sweet husband who does it for me. :)

Love ya babe...

Ps. I'm 30 weeks today- just 10 more to go! I can't even believe it!

Showing off my "curves" ;)

While I was home visiting my family last week my little nephew lifted up my shirt, pointed at my belly and said, "Ball!" haha! Well today I was looking at the big "ball" under my shirt and decided I'd post some pictures...

Just me being a nerd posing infront of the mirror...

Still posing... haha
